Una, July 14: A meeting was held at the office of the Himachal Pradesh State Scheduled Castes Commission under the chairmanship of Kuldeep Kumar Dhiman, the Commission's Chairman and a former minister. During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted regarding the work undertaken by the Commission over the past month and various pending matters. Additionally, a comprehensive roadmap was prepared for awareness and review programs to be organized across the state from July 15 to August 15, 2026.
It was decided in the meeting that special programs would be organized over the coming month to disseminate information about various welfare schemes and grievance redressal mechanisms to the Scheduled Caste community. During this period, review meetings will be held in various districts to address and resolve the issues faced by the Scheduled Caste community on the spot.
During the meeting, Vishrut Bharti, a 2016-batch Himachal Administrative Service (HAS) officer, assumed charge as the Member Secretary of the Himachal Pradesh State Scheduled Castes Commission. Welcoming him, the Chairman and members of the Commission expressed hope that his experience and work style would further strengthen the Commission's operations and ensure better services for the general public.
On this occasion, a farewell was accorded to the outgoing Member Secretary, Vinay Modi. Commission Chairman Kuldeep Dhiman and all the members appreciated his work, noting that he had successfully discharged his responsibilities as Member Secretary for over a year and made a significant contribution to advancing the Commission's objectives.
Commission members Advocate Digvijay Malhotra, Advocate Dr. Vijay Dogra, and Advocate Shalini, along with other officials and staff of the Commission, were present at the meeting.
