Nawanshahr:- Road Safety Awareness Society has demanded permanent solution to 25 dangerous places known for accidents on National Highway from Asron to Mehli so that precious lives can be saved. This demand was made in a meeting held at local Barnala House under the chairmanship of Harprabhmehal Singh, Working President of the Society.
While conducting the meeting, Secretary JS Gidda presented various issues as per the agenda for the consideration of the House, including developing the Panj Kona Chowk of Barnala Kalan as a safe chowk, conducting awareness seminars in educational institutions with the help of the school's road safety club, encouraging the use of proper lights on tractors, trolleys and other vehicles, approaching the concerned parties to take action for making safety arrangements during the start and vacation times of schools in educational institutions.
The delegation of the society will soon meet the Deputy Commissioner for the actions to be taken at the district level regarding road safety. Harprabhmehal Singh, JS Gidda, Dilbagh Singh, former District Education Officer, Principal Bikramjit Singh and Master Harinder Singh were present in the meeting.
