Karnal, November 27:- In a major breakthrough, the Karnal Police and Special Task Force (STF) recovered one and a half kilograms of RDX, two grenades, and an IED from the bushes in the Jhinjhadi area near CHD City. Security agencies say this explosive material was part of a larger conspiracy to carry out a crime, which was foiled by the Anti-Terror Force (STF) in time.
**Explosives recovered at the behest of an arrested criminal
Notorious criminal Amar Singh Rana alias Mooch, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, who was arrested two days ago, emerged as a link in this investigation. During interrogation on remand, he admitted to hiding the grenades and explosives in the bushes in the Jhinjhadi area.
Following this information, the police, STF, forensics, CID, and other agencies immediately launched a joint search operation, cordoning off the area. During the search, a large quantity of explosives was recovered from the bushes. On the evening of November 25th, police received information regarding a case registered in the Sadar police station area that Amar Singh was coming to Karnal with illegal weapons.
According to the information, a blockade was set up on the Indri-Karnal road, and the vehicle indicated by the informant was stopped and searched. During the search, an illegal foreign-made pistol and five live rounds were recovered from the accused's pocket. Amar Singh already faces charges in more than ten serious cases, including robbery, murder, and extortion. It is said that he came into contact with Nauni Rana while in Ambala jail.
**Link to Delhi Blast Also Under Investigation
The STF DIG stated that the location of the recovered explosives is being verified. The case is also being linked to the Delhi blast.
Now, other central agencies, including the NIA, will interrogate the accused in detail.
**Panic in Security Agencies
The recovery of the explosives has created a stir in the entire police department. Security has been increased in the area and investigation teams are continuously scouring the surrounding area to detect any further material or suspicious activity.
