Hoshiarpur: Rajwant Kaur, who was stranded in Dubai, has returned safely to India thanks to the efforts of former MP Avinash Rai Khanna. Jyoti Kumar Jolly from Khanna's office said that Rajwant Kaur, a resident of Mahilpur in Hoshiarpur, had gone to Dubai through an agent for employment. The agent had promised to get her a job there, but the travel agent failed to do so, leaving Rajwant Kaur without work or money and stranded in Dubai.
Rajwant Kaur faced many difficulties in Dubai. Her father, Dilawar Singh, met with Khanna and informed him about his daughter being stranded in Dubai, appealing to him to help bring her back safely to India. Mr. Khanna immediately took action on the distressed father's plea and brought the matter to the attention of the Central Ministry of External Affairs through his office.
In addition, Mr. Khanna personally assigned one of his associates, Atinder Singh, to assist Rajwant Kaur in Dubai, who provided her with considerable help. As Rajwant Kaur did not have money for a ticket, Mr. Khanna, with the financial support of his friends, arranged for her safe return to India.
After returning safely to her family in India, Rajwant Kaur and her father met with Mr. Khanna today and expressed their gratitude.
