Jaito, November 10:- Former working president of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Advocate Pawan Goyal said that the Railway Ministry has recently run trains from Ferozepur to the world famous religious places of Haridwar and Naded Sahib via Jaito, but these trains have not stopped at the historical town of Jaito. He said that the Railway Ministry had started the Ferozepur-Delhi Vande Bharat Express train on November 8, 2025, but it is very unfortunate that this train did not stop at Jaito.
He said that the Railway Ministry is ignoring the historical town of Jaito, which has the blessings of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. There is widespread resentment among the people due to the trains not stopping at Jaito. He appealed to the Ministry of Railways, Divisional Railway Manager, Ferozepur and other concerned railway officials to ensure that the above trains halt at the historic town of Jaito, as the people of Jaito and nearby areas.
Especially the elderly face difficulties in reaching Haridwar and Naded Sahib. Meanwhile, Punjab Pradesh Vyapar Mandal (Regd) State Vice President Gopal Krishna Shelly and Naresh Jindal and Vyapar Mandal State Media Advisor Raghunandan Parashar have sent letters to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu and Sanjeev Kumar, Railway Divisional Manager, Ferozepur and others to halt the above trains at the historic town of Jaito.
And apprised them of the problems being faced due to non-stopping of the trains. They have demanded that keeping in mind the problems of the people, these trains be halted at Jaito.
