Nawanshahr/Kathgarh, October 28 (Jatinderpal Singh Kaler):- The second Maa Bhagwati Jagran was organised with great devotion and enthusiasm in Rail Majra village. On the day of the jagran, the entire village appeared immersed in devotion to Mata Rani. Activity began in the village early in the morning, and devotees started arriving from far and near. Until late at night, the entire area echoed with chants of “Jai Mata Di.”

The sacred jyoti of Mata Rani was brought from Shri Shakti Peeth Naina Devi Darbar. As soon as the jyoti reached the village, the atmosphere became devotional. It was welcomed with a band and musical instruments and taken in a procession throughout the village. Residents showered flowers at various places along the route, while women paid obeisance and sought blessings by viewing the sacred jyoti. It was then installed in the jagran pandal. The jagran began after the prescribed rituals and chanting of mantras. The beautifully decorated shrine of Mata Rani was a sight to behold, adorned with colourful lights and flowers.

At the beginning of the jagran, singer Shauki Ropar Wala and Party enthralled the audience with popular devotional offerings dedicated to Mahamai. Devotees danced enthusiastically to the bhajans and raised slogans in praise of Mata Rani. At exactly 1 a.m., Punjab’s famous devotional singing duo, the Dhiman Sisters, took over the stage. Their melodious devotional songs immersed the entire pandal in spiritual fervour and kept the audience dancing. Devotees continued to dance to the devotional songs throughout the night. The jagran concluded with the narration of the story of Mata Tara Rani.
