Nawanshahr, October 28 (Jatinder Pal Singh Kaler):- In accordance with the directions of Civil Surgeon Dr. Aman Sood, District Immunisation Officer (DIO) Dr. Harpinder Singh visited Sub-Centre Sahlon under the Muzaffarpur Health Block and the Aam Aadmi Clinic at Kamam under the Mukandpur Health Block on Wednesday as part of an initiative to strengthen immunisation and basic healthcare services.
During the Mamta Diwas session, Dr. Harpinder Singh thoroughly reviewed the services being provided to pregnant women and newborns. He also inspected immunisation arrangements, the cold chain system, record maintenance and facilities available to beneficiaries.
Subsequently, the DIO reviewed patient facilities, the availability of medicines, cleanliness arrangements and staff functioning at the Aam Aadmi Clinic, Kamam. He instructed the staff to treat every patient visiting the clinic politely and ensure timely, quality treatment.
Dr. Harpinder Singh said, “The health of mothers and children is our top priority. No child should be deprived of essential vaccinations, and no pregnant woman should miss a timely health check-up. It is our duty to ensure that free healthcare services available at Aam Aadmi Clinics reach every person in need. Negligence at any level will not be tolerated.”
He appealed to district residents to ensure that their children complete their vaccinations on time, that pregnant women undergo regular check-ups, and that people avail themselves of the facilities available at their nearest health centre or Aam Aadmi Clinic.
