Ratia, July 14:- A dignified felicitation ceremony was organized by the Punjabi Teachers and Language Promotion Committee, Haryana, in honor of Veer Singh Thind, who recently retired as a Punjabi lecturer from the Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Ratia. District President Kashmir Singh and District General Secretary Principal Hansraj attended as special guests, while the program was presided over by Block President Jagjatinder Singh.
The program commenced with a welcome address by Manjeet Kaur Randhawa, General Secretary of the Ratia Block and Punjabi lecturer.
On this occasion, State Convener Dr. Naib Singh Mander shed light on Veer Singh Thind’s contributions to education, literature, and social service. He stated that during his service of approximately 12 years and 6 months, Thind performed his duties with complete dedication, commitment, and honesty. He provided remarkable service as the School Head at Government School, Karandi for several years and also performed outstanding work for the holistic development of students at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Ratia, for four years. Dr. Mander remarked that Thind’s contributions would serve as a source of inspiration for future generations.
In their address, District President Kashmir Singh and District General Secretary Principal Hansraj noted that a dedicated teacher does not merely impart education to students but also builds a bright future for society. They added that Veer Singh Thind’s experience, guidance, and affection would always remain an invaluable asset for the organization and the teaching community.
During the ceremony, the organization honored Veer Singh Thind with a certificate of appreciation, a certificate of honor, and a shawl in recognition of his excellent educational contributions. The members present wished him a healthy, happy, and active life and lauded his contributions to the field of education with great admiration.
Following the honor, Veer Singh Thind expressed his gratitude to the organization, stating that this recognition would serve as a source of inspiration throughout his life. Touching upon the New Pension Scheme (NPS), he shared concerns regarding employee pensions and emphasized the need for positive initiatives to protect the interests of employees.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Block President Jagjatinder Singh thanked all the guests and members in attendance.
Many office bearers and members of the organization, including Madam Santosh Thind, Resham Kaur, Gurman Singh, District Treasurer Buta Singh, Block Treasurer Harvinder Singh, Om Prakash, Manjeet Kaur Randhawa, and Mandeep Kaur, were present in large numbers on this occasion.
