Patiala, June 14:- Punjabi Sahit Sabha (Regd.) Patiala is organizing a literary event today at the Lecture Hall of the Language Department, Punjab, Patiala, in which a large number of writers from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Chandigarh participated. At the beginning of the event, the President of the society, Dr. Darshan Singh 'Asht, while welcoming the writers, said that the Sahit Sabha is making efforts to bring together the three generations on one platform in the near future so that the possibilities of Punjabi literature can be more openly revealed in the present context. While presiding over the event, Dr. Pushpinder Singh Gill said that mother tongue, literature and sports culture are complementary to each other and through such events, the society can be given a clear direction. Mentioning the poetry of Amrita Pritam, he also shared his special poem.
The chief guest, former Dean of Punjabi University, Patiala, former Head of the Department of Languages ??and Correspondence Education and eminent linguist Dr. Bhupinder Singh Khaira, quoted Western thinkers and said that writers should create such literature with their experiences that will guide us forever. Famous social worker and writer Bhagwan Das Gupta was of the opinion that travelogue literature, like stories, has special importance these days. Dr. Bhagwant Singh, former District Language Officer of the Language Department, Punjab, called this event an achievement in the field of Punjabi stories.
Principal Prem Lata said that the assembly is creating literary consciousness. On the book ‘Salochna* (Punjabi), Dr. Tarlochan Kaur, former professor and principal of Government Bikram College Patiala, presented the main paper and said that Kalamdan’s stories are tinged with the color of philosophy. Dr. Harwinder Kaur, Vice Principal of Khalsa College Patiala, while reading the main paper on the Hindi version, shared the view that Kalamdan has the skill of telling stories in a historical-mythical way.
Apart from special speakers like Dr. Kamaljit Singh Tibba, Master Jagminderpal Baras (Samana), Dr. Suresh Naik and Dr. Ravinder Kumar, Rajni Walia (Kapurthala), Dr. G.S. Anand, Prin. Harsant Singh Dhindsa, Babu Singh Rehal, Davinder Patialvi, Balbir Singh Dildar, Iqbal Singh Hathur, Balraj Kuhara, Nirmala Garg, Gurdarshan Singh Gusil and Jaswant Singh Punia etc. also openly discussed the subject-world and artistic aspects of the book. Amar Garg Kalamdan shared his vast experiences about the story-process with reference to book criticism.
In the second round of the event, among the famous poets, Karam Singh Sahu Sangrur, Dr. Rakesh Sharma Malerkotla, Jaswinder Kaur, Sukhdev Singh Chahal, Surinder Kaur Bada, Gopal Sharma, Satish Vidrohi, Ramesh Kumar, Bachan Singh Gurm, Jagtar Nimana Rajla, Bali Baljinder Elwal, Khushpreet Singh Harigarh, Sham Singh Prem etc. also shared various writings which were also discussed.
Among the famous poets, scholars, Dr. M.P.Singh, Kulwant Kasak Sangrur, Sukhdev Singh Chahal, Joga Singh Dhanaula, Rangkarmi Joga Singh Khiva, Pravinder Kaur Sadana, Inderjit Singh Sidhu, Mahinder Singh Jaggi, Avtarjit, Trilok Dhillon, Mahinder Singh Jaggi, Charan Singh Bambiha Bhai, Kuldeep Patialvi, Nasir Ali, Gurinder Singh Sethi, S.N. Chaudhary, Avtar Singh, Prem Kumar, Shiv Kumar Ambalvi, Jagga Ranguwal, Sukhvir Singh, Sadu Kler, Sandeep Kaur, Paramjit Kaur, Naveen Singla, Surjit Singh Mauji, Surjit Singh Thind, Pawan Kumar Hobby, Comrade Surjit Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Rajesh Kotia, Lakhvir Singh, Sumanpreet Kaur, Baljit Sharma, Saroop Singh Chaudhary Majra, Sukhmeet Singh, Sukhwinder Singh and Mukesh etc. were included.
