SAS Nagar, December 6: Member, Punjab State Traders’ Commission, Sh. Vineet Verma, visited the Chanalon Industrial Focal Point to review civic amenities, industrial infrastructure, and long-pending concerns of local industrialists. During the visit, he issued clear directions to the concerned departments for time-bound resolution of major issues raised by the Industrial Association.
Verma instructed MC Kurali and PSIEC to address the sewer cleaning issue immediately, ensuring a permanent solution. He also assured that the restoration of cancelled industrial plots would be examined by PSIEC strictly on merit basis.
To improve the overall environment of the estate, he directed that the maintenance of green belts be either undertaken by the concerned department or formally handed over to the Industrial Association for proper upkeep.
Further, Verma set a one-month deadline for the completion of interlocking tiles work, to commence only after the sewer-related issues are fully rectified. He also directed MC Kurali to ensure the removal of temporary encroachments along the main road to facilitate smooth vehicular movement.
The visit saw active participation of several representatives and office-bearers, including Ram Sarup Sharma, MC & Member, District Planning Committee; Surinder Singh, Member, Excise & Taxation Department Advisory Committee, Mohali; Gurmail Singh, Ex-MC; Dr. Shekhar Jindal, General Secretary, Chanalon Industry Association; Yashpal Bansal, President, Karyana Association; Navjot Singh; and Executive Members Sahil Dhiman and Gurpreet Singh of the Chanalon Industry Association.
On behalf of the Association, Parminder Singh Mangat expressed gratitude to the Member of the Punjab State Traders' Commission for visiting the focal point and addressing the key concerns of the industry.
