Hoshiarpur, July 25, 2026:- Punjab State Minority Commission Chairman Jatinder Masih Gaurav held a review meeting with the officers of various departments at the District Administrative Complex today and discussed in detail the issues related to the welfare, security and development of the minority community.
During the meeting, he said that the Punjab government is fully committed to the protection of the rights of the minority community, social development and economic empowerment. He instructed the officers to ensure that the benefits of all the government's welfare schemes are delivered to the eligible beneficiaries in a timely and effective manner.
The Chairman reviewed the progress of the minority welfare schemes and reviewed the work related to the development of infrastructure in areas with a dense population of the minority community, along with scholarship schemes, employment and skill development programs. He also gave necessary guidelines to the officers for the effective implementation of the schemes.
While reviewing the law and order, he laid special emphasis on the protection of the minority community, making the grievance redressal system more effective and resolving the problems of the people immediately. During this, he also listened to the complaints of the people and directed the concerned officers to resolve them in a timely and appropriate manner. He said that immediate action should be ensured on every complaint with sensitivity and impartiality.
During the meeting, the Lead Bank Manager was also instructed to provide maximum benefits of various self-employment and loan schemes to the minority community and other eligible needy people.
Later, while talking to the media, Jatinder Masih Gaurav said that he also discussed with the representatives of the minority community and representatives of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and listened to their problems and suggestions seriously.
He assured that the Punjab State Minority Commission would make every possible effort to resolve the real problems of the people. He also said that many other special matters related to the district were also reviewed during the meeting.
