Patiala 19th January 2026:- Punjab Forest Department Workers Union State President Balvir Singh Mandoli and State Secretary B.S. Lumba issued a joint press note and said that the workers who had been working in the Forest Department of Punjab for 30 years continuously. Minimum wage salaries but some decisions of the Honorable Punjab and Haryana High Court were in favor of the hardworking workers. Release of arrears due to the raw daily wage workers.
Workers whose services had been 10 years. But the Punjab Finance Department has released the arrears due to the treasury officers in other places and other districts of Punjab. But this arrears have been kept pending in Patiala district. The leaders of the organization are continuously contacting the staff of the treasury officers. There is a lot of disappointment among the workers.
Our Punjab Forest Department Workers Union will hold a one-day protest on January 22, 2026 and will start a permanent protest in front of the office of the District Treasury Officer, Patiala for an indefinite period from the next day, January 23, 2026. The Finance Department of the Punjab Government will be responsible for all the stipends that will be issued. A large number of workers will participate in this protest.
