Dera Bassi, (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), 20 August, 2026:- Under special awareness campaign being run by Punjab Government dedicated to 650th Prakash Purab of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, special documentary film of about 30 minutes based on life, philosophy and great teachings of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj was shown through LED screens at villages Rajomajra, Humbara and Hansala of Dera Bassi block.
Giving information in this regard MLA of Dera Bassi Shri Kuljit Singh Randhawa said that through special functions and awareness activities dedicated to 650th Prakash Purab of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj by Punjab Government, teachings of Guru Sahib are being conveyed to common people. He said that Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj gave message of mutual brotherhood, equality, humanity and Sarbat da Bhala (welfare of all) to society.
MLA Shri Randhawa said that through this special documentary film people, especially young generation is being made aware about life of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj and path of equality, truth, hard work and human brotherhood shown by him. He said that teachings of Guru Sahib even in today's time give right direction to society and inspire for establishment of an egalitarian society.
He said that this special campaign being run by Punjab Government is an important effort to connect people with life and message of Guru Sahib. He appealed to people that they adopt teachings of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj in their life and further strengthen feeling of mutual love, brotherhood and sharing.
During screening of documentary film in villages, villagers participated in large numbers and praised this effort being made by Punjab Government.
