Mohali:- Today dated 17-08-2026 Punjab School Education Board Daily Wage Employees Union held a protest rally in front of Education Board office gate at noon today to get their services regularized and accused Punjab Government of reneging on promises.
Addressing protest rally, Union President Raj Kumar said that on dated 07-10-2022 Punjab Government had issued a notification to regularize 8736 raw teachers in Education Department. In which announcement was made to regularize about 525 raw employees of Punjab School Education Board. In this regard, by adopting notification by Punjab School Education Board, proformas issued by Punjab Government regarding regularization of about 525 raw employees of Punjab School Education Board were also filled.
A seven-member committee was constituted by Board regarding regularization of employees. Despite more than four years passing, committee has not yet reached any conclusion. Committee repeatedly holds meeting and postpones it. Among about 525 raw employees of Board, many employees are becoming overage.
General Secretary Inderjit Singh said that organization has held several meetings in this regard with Education Minister, Education Secretary and Board Management, but no one listened to raw employees. Leaders warned that if government does not regularize raw employees of Board then struggle will be intensified in coming days, whole responsibility of which will be of Board Management and Punjab Government.
On this occasion, present Union President Raj Kumar, Board Corporation State President Tara Singh, Rakesh Rana Sheetu, District General Secretary, Balwant Singh, Vice President PIC, General Secretary Inderjit Singh, Boota Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Tejinder Singh, Karan Singh, Bhagwant Singh, Navpreet Singh, Nirmal Singh, Vishavpreet Singh, Harvinder Singh, Vinod Kumar, Gurvinder Singh, Sushma Kumari, Sukhwinder Kaur, Narinder Kaur, Rajpal Kaur, Preeti Sharma, Gurjit Kaur, Harmesh Kaur, Ravneet Kaur, Samiksha apart from large number of female employees were also present.
