Chandigarh, April 9:- Taking a major step towards further accelerating development works in the state, the Haryana Government has finalized important projects and procurement processes of various departments. This decision was taken in the meeting of the High Forward Purchase Committee held at Haryana Niwas under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini on Wednesday evening.
In the meeting, approval was given to spend about Rs. 1028 crore on various projects of more than 10 departments including Haryana Police Housing Corporation, DHBVN, HSIIDC, PWD, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation Limited, DMER, FMDA, GMDA, Irrigation Department and PHED and about Rs. 96 crore was saved by negotiating with the bidders. In the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini said that the main objective of the government is to provide better and quality facilities to the people of the state. He directed the officers to ensure regular monitoring of all the projects, so that the work is completed within the stipulated time frame and as per the quality standards. He said that he himself will also review the projects and all the officers should pay special attention to the proper utilization of the money spent. No negligence in development works will be tolerated.
The meeting finalized the procurement process of 11 meter long PCC poles, single phase and three phase net meters and 25 KVA transformers. Apart from this, commodity procurement worth Rs. 29 crore was approved for the supplementary nutrition program under the Har-Hit Retail Project of Haryana Agro Industries Corporation Limited.
A project worth Rs. 5.78 crore was approved for implementation of Student and Faculty Life Cycle Management System (SFLM) in government medical colleges of the state, which will promote efficiency and integration in the medical education system. Meanwhile, a project worth Rs. 6.60 crore was approved for survey and preparation of DPR related to storm water diversion from Gurugram metropolis towards Yamuna river.
Under Infrastructure Development, Rs 47.20 crore was approved for the construction of Home Guard and Civil Defence Training Centre in Hasanpur village of Karnal. Rs 17.75 crore was approved for the Master Water Supply Scheme in Faridabad and Rs 17.75 crore was also approved for the construction of 100 MLD MPS and 100 MLD STP in Dhanwapur, Gurugram.
Rs 101 crore will be spent on the construction of a main pumping station with a capacity of 665.5 MLD in Gurugram. At the same time, Rs 20 crore was approved for the development of Atal Park in Sector-1 of Panchkula and Rs 109.80 crore was approved for the construction of a world-class shooting range sports complex in Sector-32.
Under Industrial and Environmental Improvements, Rs. 123.40 crore was sanctioned for construction of 221 MLD capacity Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) and 63 MLD capacity Main Pumping Station in Sector-29-11, Panipat. In the health sector, Rs. 15.80 crore was sanctioned for construction of Community Health Centre in Danoda village of Narwana block of Jind. Apart from this, Rs. 51.90 crore was sanctioned for establishment of Integrated Aqua Park Excellence Centre under development of saline-affected areas in village Garwa of Bhiwani and Rs. 13.50 crore was sanctioned for construction of 8 MLD STP based on SBR technology in Palwal. An amount of Rs. 14.50 crore was approved for the reconstruction of the water bridge and outlet gate on RD-83000 of Bhalot sub-branch in the irrigation sector and Rs. 23.80 crore for the construction and reconstruction of various structures between RD-82500 and 124000. The meeting was attended by Power Minister Mr. Anil Vij, Urban Local Government Minister Mr. Vipul Goyal, Agriculture Minister Mr. Shyam Singh Rana, Public Health Engineering Minister Mr. Ranbir Gangwa, Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Raja Shekhar Vundru, Additional Chief Secretary Smt. G. Anupama, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Arun Gupta and senior officers of various departments.
