Chandigarh, September 12:- A high-level review meeting regarding the proposed Haryana Startup Fund of Funds (FoF) was held at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini. The meeting reviewed the progress made towards operationalising the proposed fund with a corpus of Rs 2,000 crore and held detailed discussions on the rapidly developing startup ecosystem in the state.
Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini said that in view of the continuous progress being made in Haryana in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship, it is essential to create a robust financial mechanism to provide financial assistance to startups at different stages of their growth.
He said that timely availability of capital is an important factor in the success of startups. The Chief Minister directed that the process of establishing and operationalising the Haryana Startup Fund of Funds be taken forward in a time-bound manner.
The Chief Minister said that the fund will play an important role in promoting investment in the state, encouraging innovation, attracting private capital and supporting high-potential startups emerging from Haryana.
He said that the state government is committed to promoting entrepreneurship and innovation. He emphasised the need to operationalise the fund at the earliest and effectively achieve its defined objectives. During the meeting, various aspects related to the Haryana Venture Capital Fund were also discussed.
Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Rastogi, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Arun Gupta, Director General of Industries and Commerce Department Dr. Yash Garg, CA Smt. Rashmi Khetrapal, along with other senior officers, were present at the meeting.
