Firozpur, September 12:- Prem Nath Sharma, a founder member who has remained associated with the Aam Aadmi Party since its formative days, has staked his claim for the party ticket for the upcoming elections. He said that since the initial days of the party, he has been actively participating in its activities and has worked with complete dedication, commitment and resources for strengthening the party. He described his long political involvement and work at the grassroots level as the basis of his claim. Prem Nath Sharma said that he played an important role in organising the first meeting of the Aam Aadmi Party at Gandhi Garden in Firozpur in 2014. At that time, the party was striving to establish its identity among the people as a new political force and strengthen its organisation at the grassroots level. He said that despite the difficulties and limited resources during the initial phase, he continuously worked to take the party's ideology and issues concerning the common people to the public. He said that he maintained regular contact with party workers to strengthen the organisation and discharged the responsibilities assigned to him at different times with full dedication. According to him, while working for the party, his main objective was not limited to political activities alone; listening to people's problems, raising their voice at higher levels and maintaining continuous contact with the common people have also remained among his priorities.
Prem Nath Sharma said that from the party's formative period to the present, he has continuously worked with the party. He said that the strength of any political organisation comes from its workers and the organisation present at the grassroots level. Therefore, he has always prioritised keeping workers united and taking the party's activities to the people. He said that he has always tried to ensure that every worker associated with the party receives due respect and that the organisation becomes stronger. Referring to his family's background of service to the nation, Prem Nath Sharma said that his father was a freedom fighter. He spent nearly two and a half years in Multan Jail while fighting for the country's independence. Prem Nath Sharma said that his father always placed service to the nation above everything else and did not accept any government benefit or benefit of any kind in return for his services associated with the freedom struggle. He said that the spirit of serving the nation and society and standing up for the people has been inherited by him from his family. Carrying forward the same thought, he has been working among the people for a long time. He said that he has always regarded politics as a means of public service and considered it his responsibility to raise issues concerning the people of the area.
