Chandigarh:- Today, a grand 'two-in-one' event and poet's darbar was organized by the Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha Chandigarh at the organization's office in Sector-41 (Badheri), Chandigarh. In this event, Mr. Raj Kumar Sahowalia, former Deputy Secretary, Punjab Government, attended as the chief guest and the event was presided over by Mr. Babu Ram Deewan while the president of the organization, Pr. Bahadur Singh Gosal and General Secretary Avtar Singh Mehatpuri were present in the presidium.
The event was started by Jagtar Singh Jog by singing a song composed by Pr. Bahadur Singh Gosal. After this, Pr. Bahadur Singh Gosal welcomed the chief guest and other guests and said that today's event has special importance for the good of humanity because in the first phase of today's event, a demonstration was held against the ongoing Iran, Israel-America war in the world and slogans were raised in favor of world peace.
In the second phase of the event, all the office bearers of the organization honored Pr. Bahadur Singh Gosal for receiving the "Disha India" award. Recently, this award was presented to Pr. Gosal by Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini. Today, to share this happiness, all the members of the assembly presented Pr. Gosal with a memento, shawl and bouquet of flowers.
After this, a grand poet's court was organized in the event in which the poets who participated were Babu Ram Deewan, Raj Kumar Sahowalia, Bahadur Singh Gosal, Dhyan Singh Kahlon, Pyara Singh Veeraman, Dr. Panna Lal Mustafabadi, Jagtar Singh Jog, Avtar Singh Mehatpuri, Rajinder Singh Dhiman, Dr. Sangeeta Sharma Kundra, Rajwinder Singh Gaddu, Pal Ajnabi and Balwinder Singh Dhariwal.
Pr. Bahadur Singh Gosal thanked him for the honor given to him by the organization and appealed to all the writers and poets to work together for world peace. He expressed happiness that many poets presented poems for peace in the world which is the need of the hour. All the members of the World Punjabi Prachar Sabha appealed to the warmongers to stop the current war immediately and stop the atrocities against humanity.
Finally, Dr. Sangeeta Sharma Kundra thanked all the poets and guests who came. The service of the stage secretary was performed well by the General Secretary of the Sabha, Avtar Singh Mehatpuri.
