Haroli/Una, April 10 (Rajveer Chopra):— A pothole on the main road in Bathu village, located within the Haroli Assembly constituency, is becoming a persistent source of trouble for the local populace. This road serves as a vital link connecting Nurpur and Garhshankar, witnessing a heavy volume of vehicular traffic on a daily basis.
Several industrial units are established in the vicinity of this route, through which thousands of workers commute every day. Consequently, this pothole on the road poses a serious accident hazard, subjecting people to significant hardships.
Local shopkeepers state that the area surrounding the pothole is home to numerous shops, making it difficult for customers and passersby to navigate the route. Shopkeepers—including Suresh Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Vippan, Billa, Gagan Sharma, and Jadhav—have urged the administration to provide a speedy resolution to the issue.
In response to this matter, Gulshan Kumar, the Junior Engineer (JE) of the Public Works Department (PWD), stated that the issue had not previously come to his attention; however, now that he has been apprised of the situation, the road will be repaired on a priority basis in the very near future.
