Ambala, September 15:- The Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh Directorate of the National Cadet Corps has achieved a remarkable feat at the ‘All India Thal Sainik Camp’ (AITSC) 2026, held in Delhi from August 31 to September 12, 2026. The Senior Wing girls’ team created history by securing an overall second position at the camp, marking a major achievement for the Directorate. The girls delivered an outstanding performance, winning a total of 32 medals, including 13 gold, 18 silver and 1 bronze medal. The boys’ team also put up an impressive performance, winning 14 medals, including 4 gold medals in Service Shooting and 1 silver and 9 bronze medals in Map Reading. Overall, the cadets of the PHHP and C Directorate won 42 medals and demonstrated their determination, discipline and competitive spirit at this prestigious national-level camp. The Directorate has maintained a strong record in recent AITSC competitions. The boys’ team secured the first position in 2024 and 2025.
The medal winners were felicitated on September 14, 2026, at the Ropar NCC Academy by Major General Narinder Singh (SM), ADG NCC, PHHP and C Directorate. He congratulated the cadets on their outstanding performance and appreciated their dedication, discipline and hard work. The ADG NCC also lauded the efforts of the Commander of Amritsar Group NCC and his dedicated team of trainers, whose continuous training, guidance and meticulous preparation played a key role in the cadets’ outstanding performance. This achievement is a proud moment for the PHHP and C Directorate and NCC, reflecting the collective efforts of the cadets, ANOs, PI Staff, trainers and the Directorate in preparing for this prestigious national-level competition.
