Nawanshahr:- Today, the monthly meeting of Pensioners Association Powercom and Transmission Division Nawanshahr was held here under the leadership of Mandal President Narinder Mehta. In today's meeting, discussions were held about the struggles being carried out by the organization regarding the issues and demands of pensioners.
On this occasion, Circle President Kulwinder Atwal, Circle Leader Niranjan Kangan, Vijay Bali, Divisional Leader Shambhu Narayan, Juginder Begumpur, Prem Chankoa, Prem Shahabpur, Satpal Bhatia, Shivraj, Inderjit Singh etc., in their addresses, strongly condemned the brutal lathi charge carried out by the government on students, MNREGA workers and sanitation workers in Barnala and supported the ongoing struggle.
According to the plan drawn up by the Punjab Employees and Pensioners Joint Front and the Sanjha Employees Manch, there will be a full participation in the grand rally being held in the grain market of Sector 39, Chandigarh on August 7 so that the anti-employee and pensioner policies of the Punjab government can be stopped.
The leaders said that the central government and all the states of the country are giving dearness allowance on the lines of the center, but the Punjab government is using every possible means to permanently stop the dearness allowance. A befitting reply will be given to these plans of the Punjab government. On this occasion, besides others, Hukam Chand, Dev Raj Sujon, Ram Lubhaya, Gursharanpal Singh, Nirmal Singh, Madan Bichhoori, Iqbal Singh, Jarnail Bharta, Swaran Das, Juginder Singh etc. were present.
