Hoshiarpur: The Election Commission of India has issued a letter regarding a partial modification to the previously announced schedule for the 'Special Intensive Revision' (SIR) of voter lists for the state of Punjab.
Providing details in this regard, District Election Officer Ashika Jain stated that the draft voter lists for the district will now be published on August 3, 2026.
She further informed that, similarly, the period for filing claims and objections regarding the voter lists has been rescheduled from August 3, 2026, to September 2, 2026.
The disposal of claims and objections will be carried out from August 3, 2026, to September 28, 2026.
The District Election Officer clarified that the remainder of the schedule will remain unchanged, in accordance with the notification issued on May 14, 2026.
