Chandigarh: Three minor sisters allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the ninth floor of their apartment building after they were stopped from playing a Korean game. According to the police, they took this step after their parents objected to their excessive online gaming habits. The deceased have been identified as Pakhi (12), Prachi (14) and Vishika (16).
The incident took place at around 2 am on Wednesday in Ghaziabad's residential township 'Bharat City'. According to reports, all the three sisters were very close to each other and mostly lived together. Police said that the girls became addicted to online gaming during the Covid-19 pandemic and were playing the online task-based "Korean love game". It is said that the girls had stopped going to school regularly, which had become a major concern for their parents.
