Chandigarh, December 7:- Haryana Development and Panchayat Minister Shri Krishan Lal Panwar, BJP National Secretary Om Prakash Dhankhar and former MP Sunita Duggal inaugurated the statue of Shaheed Karan Singh in village Dawla of Badli assembly constituency in the presence of the martyr's family members and in an emotional atmosphere. After this, the guests paid their emotional tribute by offering flowers at the statue of Shaheed Vinod Kumar.
The Development and Panchayat Minister announced to provide Rs. 11 lakh for the construction of a modern e-library, a new building and a platform for Dhankhar Khap in village Dawla in the name of the martyr. He said that the honor of martyrs is above all for our government. Five roads leading to the fields of the village will be paved in the name of the martyr. A women's cultural center will be opened for women in the village. Materials for an indoor gym will also be provided in the village.
The Panchayat Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has taken many historic steps to honour the martyrs. Every tenth soldier in the army is from Haryana. In the year 2014, as soon as our government was formed in the state, it was decided to give Rs 50 lakh and a government job to the families of the martyrs, now the Naib government has increased it to Rs 1 crore. He said that our government has given government jobs to 293 families of soldiers who died in the wars of 1985 and 1971.
The Development and Panchayat Minister Shri Panwar honoured the wife of Shaheed Karan Singh Yudh Virangana Aarti Devi, mother Sumitra Devi, wife of Shaheed Vinod Kumar Yudh Virangana Bimala Devi. On this occasion, Shaheed Karan's son Rudra, daughter Pari and brother Arjun, Shaheed Vinod's son Ashish, and other relatives were also present.
