Patiala: With the objective of preparing students for health, fitness, safety, and self-defense—as well as enabling them to assist victims during emergency situations—the Dedicated Brothers Group, Patiala, has established 'Jagriti Clubs' in five schools, in collaboration with the 'First Aid, Safety, and Health Awareness Mission' and the 'Punjab Police Traffic Education Cell.'
Sharing this information, President Dr. Rakesh Verma stated that, to this end, 'Jagriti Clubs' have been established at the Government Girls Senior Secondary School (Old Police Line), Greenland Public School, Veer Haqiqat Rai Model School, Aryan Girls Senior School, and Mahindra Girls College, with the respective school principals serving as the club presidents.
By enrolling 20 students from each of these schools as members, continuous information and training will be provided to all students—and, through them, to their parents as well—regarding good health, fitness, the adverse effects of narcotics, crime prevention, protection against anti-social elements, traffic rules and regulations, fire safety, the safe usage of gas cylinders, first aid, CPR, abduction prevention, and cyber security.
Mr. Kaka Ram Verma announced that during the month of April, various observances will be celebrated, including 'World Health Day,' 'National Fire Safety Week,' 'Awareness regarding Mental Illnesses in Children,' 'Malaria Day,' 'Save the Earth Day,' and—on April 28th—'World Day for Safety and Health at Work.' Additionally, various competitions will be organized for the students belonging to the 'Jagriti Clubs.'
Secretary Mr. Harpreet Singh Sandhu and Dr. Rishma Kohli stated that on April 5th at 5:00 PM, five meritorious students from each of these five schools will be felicitated at 'Bhasha Bhawan.'
