Chandigarh 18/12/2025: Punjab BJP State Press Secretary Hardev Singh Ubha said that the people of Punjab did not appreciate the mass influx of big business houses and other turncoat leaders into the BJP after the formation of the BJP government at the Centre, driven by personal interests. He said that Punjabis prefer the real BJP, not "turncoats" and "spent forces."
Ubha said that the people of Punjab do not accept those who join the BJP overnight and declare themselves senior leaders. The party's old, loyal, and hardworking workers are the first choice of Punjabis.
He said that the wealthy businessmen and turncoat leaders who have joined the BJP recently have affected the party's culture. The party's ethics and values ??are being compromised, and the entire system has been hijacked. Due to the culture of sycophancy, the dedicated, hardworking, and struggling workers of the party are becoming disillusioned and distancing themselves from the party, which is a matter of serious concern for the BJP.
Hardev Singh Ubha said that the results of the Zila Parishad and Block Samiti elections have clearly proven that the party has not gained any political advantage from the turncoat leaders who joined the BJP in large numbers. The voters have shown these leaders, who considered themselves "heavyweights," their true worth.
Ubha appealed to the senior leadership of the BJP not to adopt a dismissive attitude towards the old and loyal workers of the party, but to value them. He said that it is the dedicated and loyal workers of the party, not the turncoats, who brought the BJP to power.
He sarcastically remarked that those whose political careers are failing in Chandigarh are now eager to become MLAs from Punjab.
