Mahilpur- On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Nikkian Karumbalan, the only Punjabi children's magazine registered in the India Book of Records, five children's writers of Punjab will be honored with the Mata Bhajan Kaur Nikkian Karumbalan Award.
Baljinder Mann, President of Sur Sangam Educational Trust and Editor-in-Chief of Nikkian Karumbalan magazine, told the press that this function dedicated to Principal Sarwan Ram Bhatia and folk poet Pammi Khushalpuri will be organized on February 27, 2025 at 10.30 am in the Gadri Baba Harjap Singh Convention Hall of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College Mahilpur in collaboration with the Post Graduate Punjabi Department.
Hardev Bhullar Ferozepur, Mandeep Rimpi Ropar, Uma Kamal Talwara, Anju V. Ratti Hoshiarpur and Amarpreet Singh Jhita Jalandhar will be given the Mata Bhajan Kaur Nikkian Karumbalan Award by Sardar Jai Krishna Singh Raudi, Deputy Speaker of Punjab Assembly. The function will be presided over by Sahitya Akademi and Shiromani Children's Literature writer Manmohan Singh Daun, Kulwant Singh Sangha President Principal Harbhajan Singh Sporting Club, Dr. Parwinder Singh Principal, Professor Apinder Singh General Secretary Sikh Educational Council and Balbir Singh Sewak former Additional Advocate General Punjab. Sahitya Akademi and Shiromani Children's Literature writer and artist Kamaljit Neelon will present cultural variations of children.
Cash prizes will be given to the winners of Giani Harkewal Singh Sali Memorial Sahitya Srujan Competition. Dr. JB Sekhon will read a booklet on the 30-year literary journey of Nikkiyan Karumbalan. Actor-director Ashok Puri will be responsible for conducting the stage with his unique acting.

Balli, Bagga Singh Artist, Sukhman Singh Tanveer Mann, Harbhajan Singh Kahlon, Chanchal Singh Bains, Harveer Mann, writer Jagjit Singh Ganeshpur, lyricist Rupinder Jot Singh Babbu Mahilpuri, Harmanpreet Kaur and Prince. Manjit Kaur etc. were present with them to finalize the preparations of the program.
