Jaito, January 14:- A press release issued by the Ferozepur division of Northern Railway on Wednesday said that special vigilance is being maintained by the Ferozepur division to ensure the safety of train operations during foggy weather. Daily night-time inspections are being conducted at the officer level to maintain vigilance among the operational and safety related staff like Station Master, Loco Pilot, Train Manager, Pointman, Gateman, Trackman, Track Maintenance Staff, Signal and Telecommunication Staff etc.
These inspections are being conducted to ensure that train operations run smoothly, safely and securely. A night-time inspection drive is being conducted during the foggy weather to ensure the vigilance of the safety related staff in Ferozepur division. Under this comprehensive night inspection campaign conducted from December 2025 to January 2026, a total of 61 officers from various departments of the division conducted about 190 inspections between 12 am and 4 am.
During the inspection, the staff were directed to be alert towards their duties and strictly follow punctuality and safety rules. Ferozepur division is fully committed to ensuring safe and secure train operations during foggy conditions.
