Haroli/Una, August 3: The NCC enrollment process for the 2026-27 academic session was successfully conducted at Sant Dhangu Wale Gujjar Government College, Beetan. A total of 20 candidates participated in the enrollment drive. The selection process comprised a physical efficiency test, a written examination, and an interview.
The selection process was conducted by a selection board presided over by Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Ravinder Singh. Subedar Rakesh Kumar (PI Staff) and his team also played a pivotal role in the selection board's proceedings.
Following this, a certificate distribution and rank investiture ceremony for NCC cadets was held at the college. During the ceremony, Under Officer Himani Thakur, Sergeant Heena, Corporal Akshay Kumar, and Lance Corporals Gurpreet Kaur and Rohini were awarded their respective ranks.
The event was organized under the guidance of the college's ANO, Lieutenant Ramesh Kumar. While conferring the ranks upon the cadets, College Principal Dr. Sumiksha Gupta inspired them to remain dedicated to discipline, leadership, and service to the nation. She remarked that the NCC serves as a powerful medium for fostering self-confidence, a sense of responsibility, and patriotism among the youth.
Professors Ritu Jaswal, Richa Sharma, Gurjit Kaur, and Shivendra, along with Superintendent Grade-1 Virendra Mohan and other teaching and non-teaching staff members, were present on the occasion. The event concluded with the National Anthem in a dignified atmosphere.
