Chandigarh, March 12:- The Haryana Regional Office of NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) will organize Gramin Bharat Mahotsav - Exhibition and Sale from 13th to 22nd March, 2026 at the Exhibition Ground, Sector-34, Chandigarh. The 10-day exhibition and sale festival is being organized with the aim of promoting India's prosperous rural heritage, traditional crafts and handloom products. The exhibition will be held from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Around 40 stalls will be set up by artisans, weavers, women from self-help groups and farmers from 20 states of the country in this festival. The products will also be available for sale at these stalls.
In this exhibition, citizens will get an opportunity to see and buy various types of rural products. Among these, traditional crafts like Madhubani and Gond paintings, Dokra art, bas and cane products, flower art, pashmina, home finishing and silk cloth will be the center of special attraction. Apart from this, products like organic spices, pickles and dry fruits will also be available. Stalls of cuisines from different states will also be set up.
A NABARD spokesperson said that a large number of citizens will come to this festival to not only encourage rural artisans, weavers and women entrepreneurs but also contribute to strengthening the rural economy by purchasing handmade products.
