Hoshiarpur:- Hoshiarpur MP Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, while prioritizing the demands related to the historical heritage and public sentiments of Mukerian area, has assured that necessary action will be taken to fulfill the demands of Mukerian to install a statue at Maharana Pratap Chowk and name Mukerian bus stand after the great warrior Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji soon.
In this regard, MP Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal held a special meeting with prominent representatives and dignitaries of the Rajput community. A delegation led by Thakur Beni Manhas, Executive President of Rajput Sabha Mukerian, attended the meeting. The delegation prominently included Kulwant Thakur (Hajipur Rice Miller), Market Committee Chairman Mr. Harjit Singh Sahota and other Rajput community representatives.
Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal assured that departmental action has been initiated to name Mukerian bus stand after the great Sikh warrior Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji, and the process will be implemented soon after obtaining the necessary administrative approvals. Halka Incharge Mukerian, Prof. G. S. Multani, SDM Mukerian Jyotsana, Dr. Pankaj Shiv, and various administrative officers were also present in the meeting. The demand letter submitted by Rajput Sabha Mukerian a few months ago was discussed in detail.
MP Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal said that his priority is to respect the sentiments of the people of the area and give due recognition to issues related to heritage and history. He assured that work will be done expeditiously to fulfill both the demands, and positive results will be seen in the coming months.
Representatives of Rajput Sabha Mukerian met MP Dr. Thanking Raj Kumar Chabbewal, he said that he has listened to the demands of the community seriously and has assured to fulfill them. The members of the Sabha expressed confidence that under his leadership, the development of the area and the preservation of its socio-cultural heritage will get a new direction.
