SAS Nagar, December 28:- In order to maintain a robust law and order situation in city areas ahead of the approaching New Year celebrations, and in strict compliance with the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shri Harmandeep Singh Hans, the Mohali Police conducted a Night Domination operation at the busy 3B2 Market.
The operation was led by DSP City-1 Shri Prithvi Singh Chahal and involved systematic checking, patrolling, and enforcement measures aimed at deterring unlawful activities, ensuring public safety, and instilling a sense of security among citizens and shopkeepers during late hours.
During the night domination drive, police teams carried out thorough vehicle checking and verification of suspicious elements. As a result of the enforcement action, 2 cars and 1 motorcycle were impounded for violations of applicable norms,
12 traffic challans were issued for various traffic offences and
2 persons were booked under Section 128 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) for violations related to public order.
SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans stated that such night domination exercises are being conducted regularly as part of a proactive policing strategy to prevent crime, curb traffic violations, and ensure a safe and secure environment in commercial and residential areas. He emphasized that the Mohali Police remains fully committed to maintaining peace and order, particularly in crowded market areas during night hours.
The Mohali Police has appealed to the general public and traders to extend full cooperation to police teams during checking and patrolling operations and to strictly adhere to traffic and civic rules. Citizens have also been encouraged to promptly inform the police about any suspicious activity in their surroundings.
SSP Hans further reiterated that similar night domination and enforcement drives will continue in the coming days across different parts of the city to further strengthen law and order and enhance public safety during the festive season.
