New Delhi- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the stampede at the Venkateswara Swamy temple in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh. So far, 10 people have been confirmed dead in this accident, while many others are said to be injured. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the deaths of those killed in this accident.
Expressing his condolences to the families of the deceased, the Prime Minister announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh to the families of each deceased from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund. Those injured in the accident will get financial assistance of Rs 50,000 per person.
Prime Minister Modi said, "Deeply saddened by the stampede at the Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh. My condolences go out to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured."
