Hansi: MLA Vinod Bhayana formally inaugurated the renovation and beautification work of Maharaja Agrasen Chowk, located near the District Secretariat on the Hansi-Jind Road, on Saturday. This development project, costing approximately ?47.5 lakh, is scheduled to be completed within three months. The reconstruction of the intersection will not only enhance the city's aesthetic appeal but also make traffic movement smoother and safer.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Vinod Bhayana stated that the state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, is continuously working towards the holistic development of both urban and rural areas. This initiative marks a significant step towards modernizing the city's key entry points and important intersections. He noted that Maharaja Agrasen Chowk is integral to the city's identity; its renovation will provide better amenities to citizens and further improve the city's image.
The MLA emphasized that the state government is prioritizing development works and strengthening infrastructure. Various projects related to roads, drainage, sanitation, beautification, and public amenities are being rapidly executed in Hansi. He instructed the concerned officials to ensure high-quality construction and timely completion so that the public can reap the benefits without delay.
During the event, representatives of the Agarwal community requested MLA Vinod Bhayana to relocate the liquor shop situated near Maharaja Agrasen Chowk. Community members argued that the presence of a liquor shop near a square named after Maharaja Agrasen was socially and culturally inappropriate. Taking the request seriously, MLA Vinod Bhayana immediately spoke to senior officials of the concerned department over the phone and directed them to take the necessary steps to relocate the shop.
The members of the Agarwal community expressed their gratitude to the MLA for this prompt initiative. He stated that respecting public sentiment is his priority and that he remains ever-ready to ensure the resolution of every legitimate issue concerning the public. During the reconstruction of the square, work involving modern design, attractive lighting, and beautification will be undertaken, transforming it into a major attraction for the city.
Expressing gratitude to the public representatives and citizens present for their cooperation, MLA Vinod Bhayana said that development work would continue unabated with everyone's support to make Hansi a clean, beautiful, and modern city.
