Bhawani Garh, 18 August:- Taking another important step towards further strengthening basic infrastructure of health facilities in villages, MLA of Vidhan Sabha Constituency Sangrur Narinder Kaur Bharaj started construction work of Health and Wellness Centre at cost of Rs 55 lakh at village Majhi.
On this occasion MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj said that special priority is being given by Punjab Government to provide quality and easy health facilities to people of state. She said that with strengthening of structure of health services in villages people will get basic health facilities near their homes only and they will not need to go far for small health problems.
She said that strengthening health facilities up to village level is important part of pro-people thinking of government. Through Health and Wellness Centre help will be got in providing facilities like awareness regarding health, basic checking of diseases and timely health advice along with basic health services to area residents.
MLA said that continuous work is being done by Punjab Government for development of needed basic infrastructure in health sector. She said that objective of government is to ensure that along with urban areas people of villages also get quality health facilities without any difficulty.
Narinder Kaur Bharaj said that for all-round development of constituency Bhawanigarh development works in various sectors are being got done by giving priority. She said that development projects are being prepared according to needs of people and being given practical shape, so that people of constituency do not have to face any kind of difficulty for basic facilities.
She instructed concerned officers and construction agency that parameters of quality be strictly followed in construction work of Centre and work be completed in time according to fixed parameters. She said that no compromise of any kind will be made with transparency and quality in development works.
MLA said that completing projects related to basic needs of people on priority basis is her main priority. She said that this health centre to be built at village Majhi will prove beneficial for village residents and people of surrounding area will also be able to get benefit of health services.
On this occasion Sarpanch Karnail Singh Majhi, Lakhwinder Singh Fagguwal, all Gram Panchayat members and large number of village residents were present. Village residents expressing happiness on start of this project said that with building of Health and Wellness Centre health facilities in village will become more easy and strong.
