Bhawanigarh, June 1: Sangrur MLA Mrs. Narinder Kaur Bharaj today formally inaugurated the construction of a Health and Wellness Center to be built at a cost of approximately ?30 lakh in village Fagguwal by laying its foundation stone. Speaking at the event, attended by villagers, Panchayat representatives, and officials from various departments, MLA Bharaj stated that it is the Punjab Government's commitment to provide quality health facilities to people near their homes.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann is bringing historic reforms to the health sector. She stated that the health infrastructure is being strengthened across the state to provide free and better healthcare to the common people, with services being expanded to the village level.
She noted that the Health and Wellness Center will greatly benefit thousands of people in village Fagguwal and surrounding areas. The center will provide treatment for common ailments, regular health check-ups, vaccinations, maternal and child healthcare, disease screening, and health awareness services. This will save people time and money, as they will no longer need to visit city hospitals for minor treatments.
MLA Bharaj mentioned that the Punjab Government is working on a large scale for the development of education, health, electricity, water, and infrastructure. She added that development works in the villages of the Sangrur constituency are being accelerated, with plans implemented according to the needs of each village.
She emphasized that public participation is essential for rural development and that the government, with the cooperation of Panchayats, is implementing development projects effectively. She appealed to the villagers to take maximum advantage of government schemes and play an active role in their village's development.
MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj instructed the concerned officials to complete the construction of this project within the stipulated time and according to high-quality standards so that the public can avail the facility as soon as possible.
Present on the occasion were Lakhwinder Singh Lakkha, Gurpreet Singh Fagguwal, Lucky Fagguwal, Jagseer Jhaneri, Binder Khaira, representatives of the village Panchayat, health department officials, various leaders, party workers, and a large number of villagers.
