Derabassi (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), November 23:- MLA of Halqa Derabassi S. Kuljit Singh Randhawa today inaugurated the work of laying a 4.70 km water supply pipeline and installing a new tubewell in Ward No. 13 Valmiki Nagar of Derabassi area coming under the limits of the Municipal Council, along with Municipal Council President Smt. Ashu Naresh Upneja. With this step, clean and continuous water facility will be available to the local residents.
Expressing his views on the occasion, MLA Sardar Kuljit Singh Randhawa said, “This development project is the result of the able leadership and people-oriented policies of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann. Our main objective is to provide clean, safe and continuous water facility to the people, so that every resident can get better facilities. Strengthening the water supply system in Valmiki Nagar is among our priorities, and both these works will fulfill the long-standing demand of the people.”
He said that the aim of the Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann government is to provide smooth basic facilities to villages and cities. Welfare of the people and transparent functioning are the hallmark of this government.
This development work will bring a major improvement in the water supply of the area and the problems related to water shortage, lack of pressure and irregular supply will be solved. This project will further strengthen the water supply system of the municipal council area.
MC Sahiban, AAP leader Sonu Khan, local ward residents and municipal council officials attended the event in large numbers and appreciated this developmental initiative taken by the MLA.
