Ambala, January 14:- Today, on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti (Maghi), MCA Department of MM University, Mulana, organized a clothes distribution drive to help the underprivileged sections of the society. The aim of this social initiative was to provide relief and warmth to the needy during the cold season.
This program was organized under the leadership of Dr. Sumit Mittal, Registrar of MM University. With his enthusiasm and support, the drive was successfully completed. Students and faculty demonstrated social responsibility and compassion by donating clean and usable clothes.
Blankets, shawls and warm socks were distributed during the drive, which helped the beneficiaries protect themselves from the cold. Keeping in mind the tradition of the festival, peanuts and raisin were also distributed.
This program was coordinated by Dr. Sumit Mittal, Coordinator, MCA Department. Vivek Bhatnagar, Faculty members Dr. Rubika Walia and Neelima. Dr. Deepa Nehra, Smt. Shikha Rani, Smt. Manju Bagga and Vishal from the department also actively supported this program.
The student coordinators of the department Vishal, Renuka, Harman, Ritesh, Saloni, Srishti, Khushi, Pragati, Yashpreet and Lavish played a key role in organizing this program. This campaign was successfully completed with the collective support and enthusiastic participation of students and teachers, bringing relief, warmth and happiness in the lives of many needy people.
