Karnal, December 2: Mayor Renu Bala Gupta held a public hearing at the Municipal Corporation office to address public concerns. She listened to the concerns of the citizens who came to the office and resolved them on the spot.
Giving necessary instructions to corporation officials, she urged them to promptly resolve every issue so that the public does not face any difficulties. She also instructed them to maintain transparency and quality of government services in the office. She emphasized the need to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach every needy person, fulfilling the spirit of Antyodaya.
The Mayor listened to citizens' concerns one by one during the public hearing and called the relevant officials to resolve them. He directed officials to resolve public complaints as quickly as possible. He appealed to residents to bring their complaints in writing and include their mobile numbers when visiting the office, so that feedback on progress can be obtained.
He instructed corporation engineers to ensure prompt resolution of complaints regarding pothole filling, sewerage chokes, stormwater pipelines, water supply, and streetlights. He instructed sanitation inspectors to maintain good sanitation in the city and prevent encroachment in markets.
He appealed to residents that if they see garbage anywhere, they can report it on the Swachhata App and e-Samadhaan portal. Additionally, complaints regarding sewerage and water supply can be filed by calling the toll-free number 14420. For streetlight malfunctions, complaints can be filed by calling 01842200600. These complaints will be resolved within a stipulated time period.
