Mayor departs for Japan the message of the Gita will resonate on the global stage IGM to be held in Tokyo and Osaka until June 24 under the presence of Swami Gyananand Maharaj

Karnal, June 17: A high-level delegation from Haryana departed on Wednesday for the International Gita Mahotsav-2026, scheduled to be held in Japan's capital, Tokyo, and the city of Osaka from June 19 to June 24. The delegation includes Karnal Mayor Renu Bala Gupta and former BJP Executive District President Brij Gupta, along with other dignitaries, who will represent India at this global spiritual event and spread the light of the Gita's knowledge.
This International Gita Mahotsav on foreign soil is being organized under the sacred presence of the revered Gita Manishii Swami Gyananand Maharaj. The responsibility for the management and coordination of this large-scale event lies with the Kurukshetra Development Board and various international socio-cultural organizations.
Before departing for abroad, Mayor Renu Bala Gupta stated that the International Gita Mahotsav is not just a religious event, but a powerful medium to establish Indian culture and the Sanatan philosophy on the world stage. She remarked that presenting the sacred message of the Gita in a developed country like Japan is a matter of pride for the entire nation. Indeed, the philosophy of the Gita is the foundation of world peace and humanity.
The Gita shows the path of Karma: Mayor Renu Bala Gupta and former BJP Executive District President Brij Gupta said that the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita shows the path of Karma, duty, and a balanced life. Under the guidance of Gita Manishii Swami Gyananand Maharaj, this event will certainly strengthen the message of world peace and human welfare. The members of the delegation expressed confidence that this event would take Indo-Japan cultural relations to new heights and provide a new identity to India's spiritual heritage at the global level.
The Mahotsav will be diverse: It is noteworthy that during the Mahotsav, various programs such as discourses based on the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, devotional musical evenings (Bhajan Sandhya), Kirtan, cultural performances, Gita seminars, and spiritual dialogues will be organized. The objective is to effectively convey Indian philosophy, Karma Yoga, and the eternal message of the Gita to the global community.
