SAS Nagar, October 11 - Mayor of the Municipal Corporation Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu today started the carpeting project of roads and parking areas in his ward no. 10 (Phase 7).
On this occasion, Mayor Jeeti Sidhu said that a total budget of Rs. 1.60 crore has been approved for this project, out of which Rs. 71 lakh will be spent on the roads behind the Phase 7 market, while Rs. 90 lakh will be spent on the improvement of the front side parking areas. He said that this project has been started especially for those roads and parking areas which were in poor condition for a long time.
He said that he has given clear instructions to all the officers of the Municipal Corporation that the quality of every development project should be monitored from time to time. He said that no compromise will be made with the quality of the work and he himself will also personally monitor the works.
He said that this is not just a development campaign of Phase 7, but of the entire Mohali. He said that we have ensured that there is equal development in every ward of Mohali. The same attention is being given to all the wards, and the benefits of development will reach every resident. He said that the Mohali Municipal Corporation currently has no shortage of funds for development. He said that we have sufficient budget available for development works and no project will be stopped due to lack of funds.
Mayor Sidhu said that keeping in mind the demands and suggestions of the residents, a separate development plan has been prepared for each ward. Wherever people have pointed out a problem, immediate action has been taken.
On this occasion, besides others, Balkaran Singh Bhatti, RG Sharma, Manpreet Singh Khunar, Mahinder Singh Puri, Anmol Rattan Singh, Balbir Singh Somal, RP Bansal, Balbir Singh, Ankit, Pankaj, Baljit Singh, Vijinder Singh, Deepak, Surjit Singh, Kirti Bansal, Harshdeep Singh, Manjit Singh and Raj Teg Singh and other residents were present.
