Chandigarh- Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has condemned the notification issued by the Central Government regarding the dissolution of the Senate of Panjab University Chandigarh. Mann said that with this notification, the anti-Punjab face of BJP has once again come in front of everyone. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has made this claim by issuing a video message to the people of Punjab and the country.
Mann said that the Central Government has tried to erode the rights of Punjab by dissolving the Senate of Panjab University, which will never be tolerated. He said that the Punjab Government will knock the door of the High Court and the Supreme Court against this decision of the Central Government. Therefore, the Punjab Government is holding discussions with legal experts. Bhagwant Mann said that the Act made by the Lok Sabha of the country and the Vidhan Sabha of any state cannot be repealed through a notification, but the Central Government has done such bullying in the issue of Panjab University.
Chief Minister Mann said that the central government had earlier eroded the rights of Punjab on the BBMB issue. Now Panjab University is also trying to erode the rights of Punjab from Chandigarh. He said that the Punjab government has recently issued a special grant for the construction of a girls' hostel in Panjab University, but despite this, the central government is bullying Punjab. He said that the Punjab government will strongly oppose this decision of the central government.
