Karnal, March 20 – As part of a special campaign being conducted against drug traffickers, the CIA Asandh team of the Karnal District Police has achieved a significant breakthrough. This operation was carried out under the leadership of CIA Asandh In-charge, Sub-Inspector Sulinder Singh.
Acting under the supervision of Assistant Sub-Inspector Dalip Singh, the police team arrested the accused, Kabal Singh—son of Balkar Singh—a resident of Village Kheri Sarfali, Police Station Asandh, District Karnal.
During a search, 6 kg 150 grams of *Chura Post* (poppy husk)—a narcotic substance—was recovered from the accused's possession.
The Investigating Officer stated that a case has been registered against the accused at Police Station Asandh, Karnal, under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act. Preliminary investigations have also revealed that a prior case of murder is registered against the accused.
Today, the police team produced the accused before the Honorable Court, which granted a four-day police remand. During the remand period, the accused is being subjected to intensive interrogation; further investigation is underway to uncover the involvement of other individuals linked to this drug trafficking network.
