Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, July 8:- Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is organizing 'Lok Milni' (public interaction) programs across the state to communicate the government's achievements to the masses and establish direct dialogue with the people. As part of this initiative, MLA Kulwant Singh met with residents and listened to their grievances in the Badmajra, Jujhar Nagar, and Tarauli-Hussainpur villages of the Mohali assembly constituency.
Addressing a public meeting held on this occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh stated that the prevailing slogan across Punjab today is "Bhagwant Mann Again." He remarked that the massive public participation in 'Lok Milni' programs—both across Punjab and specifically in the Mohali constituency—demonstrates the overwhelming public support for the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led government and reflects the administration's unwavering commitment to public service.
He noted that development projects are being completed rapidly across the state. Officials from relevant departments and contractors have received clear instructions to complete work within stipulated timeframes, ensuring that citizens face no inconvenience in their daily lives. He emphasized that the government, party workers, and the administration are working in unison to deliver services right to the people's doorsteps.
MLA Kulwant Singh observed that the significant participation of people from all religions and communities in these 'Lok Milni' programs proves that all of Punjab is united in the effort to transform the state into a prosperous and vibrant ('Rangla') Punjab once again. He asserted that this is the first government to have successfully translated its election promises into reality and steered Punjab back onto the path of progress after it had previously derailed from the track of development. Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for his special focus on the Mohali Assembly constituency, he noted that several major development projects are being introduced in the area, which will create new employment opportunities for the youth. He observed that, thanks to superior infrastructure, people from various states across the country are settling in Mohali and prioritizing it for education and employment.
MLA Kulwant Singh stated that the people of Mohali had elected him to the Assembly with a margin of over 35,000 votes—a gesture for which he remains eternally grateful to every voter and supporter in the constituency. He pledged to transform the Mohali Assembly constituency into the number one constituency in Punjab in terms of development.
He highlighted that the Aam Aadmi Party government has so far provided government jobs to over 68,500 youths in the state, with the figure expected to reach 80,000 in the near future.
Referring to healthcare services, he mentioned that approximately 1,000 'Aam Aadmi Clinics' have been established across Punjab, with 10 currently operational in the Mohali Assembly constituency. These clinics provide free health check-ups, medicines, and essential medical tests to the public.
He further informed that ?7 lakh has been released for street construction in Jujhar Nagar under the 'Rangla Punjab' scheme, with an additional ?20 lakh to be released for the construction of drains. Funds amounting to ?8 lakh for an Anganwadi center and ?5 lakh for the development of the cremation ground in Badmajra have also been sanctioned. Additionally, another ?10 lakh will soon be released for further development works under the 'Rangla Punjab' scheme. Senior Aam Aadmi Party leaders Kuldeep Singh Samana, Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Rajinder Prasad Sharma, Iqbal Singh (Jujhar Nagar), Harpal Singh Channa, Harpal Singh Brar, Tarlochan Singh, Akvinder Singh Gosal, Jasveer Singh Rurka, Parminder Singh Rurka, Malkiat Singh, Manjit Singh, Narinder Pal Singh, Baljit Singh Happy, and Pargat Singh, along with other dignitaries, were present on this occasion.
