Hisar:– On the eighth day of the Combined Annual Training Camp organized by the 1 Haryana R&V Squadron NCC at Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS), Hisar, a successful series of military, educational, and sports activities were organized with the objective of the cadets' holistic development.
The major highlight of the day was the live firing exercise conducted for the Senior Wing (SW) girl cadets, where they received practical training in marksmanship and weapon handling. Simultaneously, Senior Division (SD) boy cadets were trained in firing with .22 rifles. During this session, they were provided with detailed information on weapon operation, firing drills, and essential safety procedures, ensuring they were fully prepared for the live firing exercises at the firing range.
During the camp, officials from the Fire Safety Department, Hisar, delivered an insightful lecture on the subject of fire safety. Following this, cadets were given a practical demonstration of firefighting techniques and provided with crucial information on rescue and relief operations during emergency fire situations. This training gave the cadets practical experience in responding quickly and effectively to disaster situations.
The day concluded with the final matches of the Badminton competition for the Senior Division (boys) and Senior Wing (girls) in both singles and doubles categories. In all the matches, the cadets demonstrated discipline, sportsmanship, and excellent competitive performance.
The camp continues to feature a balanced blend of military training, horse riding, health and safety awareness, personality development, and sports activities. Through these activities, values such as discipline, leadership, sense of responsibility, teamwork, and the spirit of national service are being developed among the cadets.
