Ratia, August 1: Responding to the call of District 301A3 Governor Lion Sanjay Gandhi for the "One District, One Project" campaign, Lions Clubs across the entire district organized massive tree-planting drives at various locations today. As part of this initiative, Lions Club Ratia City conducted a plantation drive at Keshav Gaushala (Lali Road, Ratia) and Bansal Rice Mill (Bhuna Road, Ratia), planting approximately 100 saplings—including fruit-bearing, flowering, and shade-providing varieties.
Club President Lion Gopal Chand Kulariya stated that his club has been actively contributing to tree plantation and environmental conservation efforts for the past 28 years. He emphasized that every individual should plant at least one tree for the sake of environmental conservation.
Lion Sukhcharan Das Arora urged all citizens to pledge not only to plant saplings but also to ensure their protection and nurturing.
Club members participated enthusiastically in the event and pledged to take responsibility for the care and preservation of all the planted saplings.
Many individuals participated in the plantation drive, including Region Chairman Lion Pradeep Bansal, Club Secretary Lion Sukhcharan Das Arora, senior members Lion Vijay Grover, Lion Rajkumar Khandu, Lion Khemchand Monga, Lion Krishna Suneja, Lion Veerbhan Bansal, Lion Dr. Som Chand Goyal, Lion Amir Taneja (Advocate), Keshav Gaushala President Shri Vidyasagar Baghla, Baldev Taneja, Gaushala volunteers, Bansal Rice Mill operators Daman Kumar and Lachhman, along with their entire team.
At the conclusion of the event, everyone conveyed a unified message: "Greenery all around leads to prosperity."
