Hansi: On Wednesday, to mark the arrival of District Governor Lion Sanjay Gandhi, the Lions Club Hansi planted 80 saplings under the 'Hariyali Abhiyan' (Greenery Campaign) to send a message of environmental conservation. The club members celebrated the occasion with great enthusiasm.
The club carried out the plantation drive at various locations including HUDA Colony Park, Sisai Pul, Swarg Ashram, Gita Bhawan, and the Shri Panchayati Ramlila Ground. Club office-bearers stated that in the next phase of the campaign, 100 more saplings will be planted at various places in the city.
On this occasion, several members including Lion Suresh Bansal, Praveen Garg, Gopal Krishna Munjal, Vijay Sharma, Madan Lal Pahwa, and Dilbag Singh Jakhar were present.
Lion Suresh Bansal announced that a free white cataract screening and operation camp would be organized on July 21 with the support of Pankaj Bhatia. He appealed to the citizens to attend in large numbers and take advantage of this free health service.
