Kapurthala (Paigam-E-Jagat): Every year, the month of November is celebrated as Punjabi month, in view of which activities dedicated to Punjabi language, culture and literature are organized by the Punjab Government, Language Department Punjab and District Language Offices in different districts of the state. Continuing this series, a poetry mehfil named “Sirjana De Pandhi” is being organized on Sunday, November 30, at the office Virsa Vihar Kapurthala with the mutual cooperation of the district's literary organization, the Creation Center. 
A large number of writers and poets from all over the district will participate in this poetry mehfil. District Language Officer Jaspreet Kaur, Center President Poet Kanwar Iqbal Singh and General Secretary Shahbaz Khan informed that Dr. Sarwan Singh Pardesi and special guest Prin. Kewal Singh Rattra will be present in this event. General Secretary Shahbaz Khan said that this event will be presided over by Madam Jaspreet Kaur, District Language Officer and President of the Center Kanwar Iqbal Singh. There will be a Kavi Darbar of the poets/shairas present on this occasion.
 He also said that such activities are commendable for the promotion of Punjabi language and culture. Senior Vice President of the Center Ashu Kumra, Finance Secretary Malkit Singh Meet, Advisor Dr. Surinder Pal Singh Avtar Singh Gill, Avtar Singh Bhandal informed that on this occasion, efforts will also be made to present free books to the guests present by the District Language Office Kapurthala and Book Manch Kapurthala.
