Karnal, October 7: Sub-Inspector Himmat Singh, in-charge of the Anti-Narcotics Cell of Karnal District Police, and Inspector Shri Bhagwan, Station Manager, Nising, took a major action against drug smugglers involved in the drug trade.
On September 26, 2025, the team froze the movable and immovable assets of Gurmukh Singh, son of Sadha Singh, resident of village Amupur, Nising, District Karnal, who is involved in a major drug smuggling network.
The current market value of these assets is estimated to be approximately ?6.5 crore. This action was taken on the orders of the District Police, which has also been confirmed by the competent authority in New Delhi.

*Criminal Background of the Accused:
A case has been registered against accused Gurmukh Singh at Police Station Pundri, District Kaithal, under Section 15(c) of the NDPS Act, Case No. 155, dated 21.06.2007.

*Drug Traffickers' Properties Freezed:
Previously, the district police team has succeeded in freezing properties worth crores of rupees belonging to accused involved in drug trafficking.

*First Case:
The movable and immovable properties of accused Saheb Singh, son of Chanan Singh, resident of village Chaugama, Assandh, Karnal, with a current value of ?10 crore were frozen on February 8, 2022.

*Second Case:
The properties of accused Suba Singh, son of Pyar Singh, resident of village Dhanchar, Nising, Karnal, with a current value of ?7 crore were frozen on October 18, 2022.

*Third and Fourth Cases:
The assets of accused Khair Singh, son of Rajaram, resident of village Dhantori, Kurukshetra, with a total current value of ?13 crore were frozen on October 7, 2022, and January 24, 2023.

*Fifth Case:
The assets of accused Surendra Singh, alias Sindar, son of Balkar Singh, resident of Dera Bakhiwala, Nising, district Karnal, with a current value of ?6 crore 20 lakh were frozen on February 9, 2022.
