Una, July 24: A one-day workshop and orientation program on the operation, maintenance, and water quality monitoring of water supply and irrigation schemes will be organized by the Jal Shakti Department (Hamirpur Zone) on July 25 at the Palakwah Auditorium in Haroli. Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri will inaugurate the event.
Naresh Dhiman, Superintending Engineer of the Jal Shakti Department's Una Circle, stated that the workshop will provide training to newly appointed para-pump operators, para-fitters, multipurpose workers, and water guards regarding the effective operation, maintenance, and water quality monitoring of water supply and irrigation schemes. The workshop will commence at 10:00 AM.
He mentioned that experts would provide participants with information on water quality testing, chlorination, routine maintenance of schemes, safety standards, and modern technologies. The objective of the training is to enhance the proficiency of field-level staff and make departmental services more effective in providing safe, high-quality drinking water to the public.
He added that senior officials, engineers, and staff from various divisions of the Jal Shakti Department would also participate in the workshop. Discussions will also be held on strengthening the department's operational framework and ensuring better public service delivery.
